In the criminal matter against Grossmann 1 (charged of a triple murder on prostitutes) defensor Frey summons Bloch, Bonhoeffer, Hirschfeld, Kronfeld, Liepmann, Moll and Leppmann as special experts. Kronfeld writes in retrospect:
"All court experts agreed on the fact that one had to do with a heavily burdened man, who was asocial and antisocial from his childhood, shows anyhow a strong perturbation of ethic behaviour and sentimental life... and in whom an abnormally intensified and pervers sexuality in the sense of sadism provided a motivating force to his action..."
